Refer a Friend

Terms and Conditions

1. Programme Period

1.1 This Refer-a-Friend programme (“Programme”) is an ongoing promotion offered by GYC.

1.2 GYC reserves the right to amend, suspend, or terminate the Programme at any time without prior notice.

2. Eligibility

2.1 Referrer Eligibility

To participate as the Referrer, the individual must:

  • be an existing GYC client; and

  • submit the referral prior to the Referee’s first engagement with GYC.

2.2 Referee Eligibility

To qualify under the Programme, the Referee must:

  • not hold an existing account with GYC;

  • successfully open and fund an eligible managed and/or discretionary portfolio account designated by GYC, subject to GYC’s prevailing recurring advisory or management fees*; and

  • introduce a minimum of S$1,000,000 in Fresh Funds.

Fees may be deducted from the capital invested into the portfolio.

3. Definition of Fresh Funds

3.1 “Fresh Funds” refers to new assets introduced into GYC that do not originate from:

  • existing portfolios managed by GYC;

  • transfers between accounts under the same beneficial owner or related parties; or

  • withdrawals and subsequent re-deposits into any GYC account.

3.2 GYC reserves the right to determine whether assets qualify as Fresh Funds.

4. Referral Qualification

4.1 To participate, the Referrer must submit the Referee’s details via the referral form before the Referee’s first engagement with GYC. Submission does not guarantee acceptance, as all referrals remain subject to GYC’s onboarding and compliance procedures.

4.2 For this Programme, “First Engagement” refers to any direct contact initiated by the Referee, including submitting an enquiry or responding to outreach.

4.3 A referral qualifies only if the Referee:

  • successfully opens and funds an eligible managed and/or discretionary portfolio account designated by GYC; and

  • introduces a minimum of S$1,000,000 in Fresh Funds.

4.4 Where multiple claims are made for the same Referee, the referral will be attributed to the Referrer whose submission is first recorded in GYC’s systems.

5. Reward Entitlement

5.1 Upon successful qualification, the Referrer will be eligible for reimbursement of Apple Store purchases, capped at S$1,000 per successful referral.

5.2 There is no limit to the number of referrals a Referrer may submit. Each successful referral entitles the Referrer to a separate reward, subject to these Terms and Conditions.

5.3 Rewards are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and not redeemable for cash or other financial benefits.

5.4 GYC reserves the right to substitute the reward with an alternative of similar nature or value, where necessary.

6. Reward Redemption

6.1 The Referrer will be notified upon successful referral and confirmation of reward eligibility.

6.2 Approved reimbursements are processed twice yearly, on 25 June and 25 December (“Reimbursement Date”).

6.3 To qualify for the 25 June Reimbursement Date, the referral must successfully qualify between 26 December and 25 April (inclusive).

6.4 To qualify for the 25 December Reimbursement Date, the referral must successfully qualify between 26 June and 25 October (inclusive).

6.5 The Referrer will have 12 months from the applicable Reimbursement Date to make an eligible Apple Store purchase and submit a reimbursement claim.

6.6 Reimbursement conditions:

  • The purchase must be made at an Apple Store (in-store or online) within the applicable 12-month eligibility period;

  • A valid Apple Store receipt must be provided (split receipts, multiple submissions, or consolidated receipts from separate transactions will not be accepted);

  • The Referrer may submit 1 claim only, based on a single Apple Store purchase receipt;

  • Reimbursement will be capped at S$1,000;

  • Any amount exceeding S$1,000 will not be reimbursed; and

  • Incomplete, invalid, or late submissions may be rejected.

6.7 Purchases made outside the applicable 12-month eligibility period will not qualify for reimbursement.

6.8 Any unused portion of the S$1,000 entitlement (i.e. where the receipt value is below S$1,000) will be forfeited and cannot be carried forward or claimed separately.

6.9 GYC reserves the right to determine the validity of all claims and supporting documents.

7. Participation Safeguards

7.1 The Programme does not apply to:

  • self-referrals;

  • additional accounts under the same beneficial owner; or

  • referrals made in a professional, intermediary, or introducer capacity.

7.2 While there is no formal lock-in period, GYC reserves the right to review account activity inconsistent with the intent of the Programme, such as the withdrawal of a substantial portion of funds shortly after onboarding, and may withhold or revoke rewards in cases of suspected misuse.

8. General Conditions

8.1 GYC’s decisions on all matters relating to the Programme shall be final and binding.

8.2 GYC will exercise reasonable care in administering the Programme but shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or inconvenience arising from circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

8.3 GYC reserves the right to conduct verification checks before confirming eligibility.

8.4 Where any irregularity, misuse, or breach is suspected, GYC may disqualify participants and cancel rewards without prior notice.

8.5 Nothing herein constitutes an offer, recommendation, or solicitation to buy or sell any financial product. All investments carry risk, including possible loss of principal.

8.6 By participating, individuals agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

9. Data Privacy

9.1 By submitting a referral, the Referrer confirms that the Referee has consented to the sharing of their details for referral purposes.

9.2 Personal data collected in connection with this Programme will be processed in accordance with GYC’s Privacy Policy.

9.3 Referees may withdraw their consent at any time by contacting GYC; however, this may affect eligibility for the Programme.
