Income Portfolios

Dividend Plus Portfolio

GYC Dividend Plus is a portfolio of unit trusts which primarily focuses on dividend payout while maintaining the value of capital. The objective of the portfolio is to invest in best-in-class multi-asset high-dividend instruments, harness the power of dividend income, maximise long term total return and reduce the probability of capital impairment by utilising an overarching risk matrix overlay.

The portfolio is designed to distribute dividends on a quarterly basis and has a typical allocation of 80% in equity yield investments and 20% in fixed income assets. It is a complement to a typical retirement portfolio.

Retirement Portfolio

GYC Retirement is a portfolio of unit trusts which provides a fixed 3% or 5% payout (disbursed on a quarterly basis) by drawing down on the portfolio whilst focusing on extending the portfolio life. The portfolio is based on the decumulation concept where assets accumulated during the investor's working life are converted into a pension-type income to be spent during retirement. This portfolio forms an integral part of any investor's retirement assets.

The portfolio has a typical allocation of 20% in equity yield investments and 80% in fixed income assets.

Real Estate Portfolio

This portfolio focuses primarily on listed securities of real estate companies, REITs (Real Estate Investment Trusts) and other specialist real estate investments. The portfolio allows access to real estate investments in a more liquid vehicle and with a lower starting amount. Accredited Investors are able to access special private equity-type strategies through our partners.

Consider this if you are:

  • Interested in a highly liquid and accessible diversified real estate exposure
  • Focused on income
  • Looking at a time horizon of 5 years or more

A Word on Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs)

As the underlying assets of REITs are physical buildings (shopping malls, offices, etc.), they are structurally different from normal stocks. REITs have their own peculiarities, but are primarily designed to deliver a stable income over a long period of time.
