Sim Poh holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from RMIT
and has been very involved in the practical application of
information technology since joining the financial planning
industry. Being very process oriented, he is the architect and developer of GYC Financial
Advisory's various proprietary software which is
unparalleled in the financial advisory industry. From
'gFinancialHealth' (previously 'iFP21'), a comprehensive
financial planning and analysis tool, to 'gBuilder', a
portfolio management tool, he has simplified the complex
task of a financial adviser and made reports that even
non-financial savvy clients can understand. His expertise in
this area stems from his 5-year experience in the life
insurance industry and his continued desire to systematise
the science of financial planning.
Sim Poh is the Head of Information Technology (IT) and
Backroom Operations, which includes the processing,
documentation and analysis of new business submissions. His
attention to details and process flows is key in ensuring
that all business entrusted by clients are processed timely
and accurately. He also sits on the companys Finance and
Compensation committees where his expertise in understanding
and simplifying finance process flows as well as
compensation schemes is fully utilised.
