Rachael holds a doctorate in material science and
engineering from Imperial College, UK and has spent most of
her corporate life with a leading commercial aerospace
company in Singapore. Her previous responsibilities include
mergers and acquisitions, formation of joint ventures and
strategic alliances with industry players in the US and
Europe. Her interest in investments stemmed from corporate
finance activities, and she has been an active participant
in international markets since 1998.
Rachael is the Head of Corporate Financial Services in GYC
Financial Advisory and helps companies seeking
advice on corporate restructuring and corporate financial
solutions, eg. optimising returns on corporate funds,
structuring pension plans and employee benefits programme.
In addition, Rachael is tasked with the on-going development
of best practices in portfolio management and carrying out
primary work in asset allocation and best-in-class fund
assessment for approval by GYC's external investment
committee. Rachael also regularly represents GYC as a
public speaker on strategic investments and was interviewed
on the subject of structured deposits during a MediaCorp
radio broadcast in Jun 2005. Her article, Be Investment
Savvy was also featured in the Business Times on 28 Dec
2005.
Rachael is also a fully licensed Financial Adviser
Representative, and is qualified to market and advise on
life and health insurance, collective investment schemes,
personal and commercial general insurance.
