Bio of
Aw Choon Hui
  Deputy CEO

 
 




Choon Hui holds an Honours degree in civil and structural engineering and a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from NUS. He was previously Vice President of one of the largest listed property developers in Asia with over 17 years of experience in project management of major real estate projects. In addition, his experience includes initiating and maintaining ISO9000 standards as well as business development of property development services to listed companies in Singapore.

Choon Hui is the Deputy CEO of GYC Financial Advisory and calls upon his project management background and grounding in corporate management processes to help fulfill the demands of this role. In addition, his other corporate responsibilities include liaising with MAS on compliance matters and ensuring GYC's processes are in line with the respective Acts and Regulations. He also works closely with GYCFAs strategic partners like insurers, fund managers, financial institutions and technology providers to keep abreast of new product launches as well as seek out best-in-class products.

Choon Hui regularly represents GYC as a as a public speaker on issues like retirement planning and strategic investing. He is also a specialist in the property industry and closely tracks real estate investment trusts (REITs) and property funds. He has been interviewed on the subject of REIT funds during a MediaCorp radio broadcast in Apr 2005.

Choon Hui is also a fully licensed Financial Adviser Representative and is qualified to market and advise life and health insurance, collective investment schemes, personal and commercial general insurance.
